Our Church Family

At our school, we deeply value the special relationship we share with our church family. Over the school year, we are very lucky to attend and take part in a variety of services at our local churches, St. Stephen's and All Saints Church, both just a short walk away. The children thoroughly enjoy visiting these beautiful churches and being part of these meaningful occasions. Every Wednesday, we also welcome a member of our church family to lead our Collective Worship, which is a time that the whole school looks forward to. These moments of reflection and togetherness strengthen our faith and sense of community. The immense wealth of resources that our churches, visitors, and local community provide greatly enriches our Curriculum and adds to the experiences of every child, helping them grow spiritually, socially, and academically.

Open the Book

We are truly thankful for our church community who kindly lead our Collective Worship and help us grow in faith and friendship. We are also very fortunate to have the Open the Book team visit our school to lead special worship sessions. Through their engaging storytelling, they bring Bible stories to life, helping the children understand important Christian values in a fun and memorable way. The children love taking part, dressing up, and acting out the stories, making it a joyful and meaningful experience for all.

St. Stephen's Church

St Stephen's Church in Robin Hood's Bay is a beautiful and historic place of worship, perched on the cliffside with stunning views of the North Sea. Built in 1822, the church is known for its simple yet charming design, traditional wooden pews, and peaceful atmosphere. It has long been a spiritual home for the local community and a popular spot for visitors exploring the history and heritage of the area. St Stephen's also reflects the village's deep connection to the sea, with memorials to fishermen and shipwrecks that shaped the lives of many families.

All Saints Church

All Saints Church in Hawsker is a welcoming village church built in 1876. It has beautiful stained glass windows, traditional features, and a peaceful atmosphere. As well as being a place of worship, the church is also used for school activities, music, and community events, making it an important part of village life.
